Helene Riou, Human Resources Director at Horizon Software, said: “Today at Horizon, 80% of our people like their jobs. They find themselves motivated and happy with what they are doing. Their well-being comes hand in hand with the desire to contribute to something bigger than themselves. So, it is not just about the free-coffee or the free lunch that we offer, but rather about how we serve the society when we are drinking coffee or when doing any other activity.
For example, half the price of each cup of coffee at Horizon will go to « Café Joyeux », a coffeeshop that hires people with Down syndrome and helps them find the place they deserve in the society. This initiative will help « Café Joyeux » expand by opening a new coffeeshop and providing more job opportunities.
As we also care about inclusion, it was important for us to take part in NQT « Nos Quartiers ont du Talent », an association that provides mentorship to fresh graduates coming from disadvantaged areas. Giving advice on how to search and apply for a job or how to behave during an interview, is priceless as it helps individuals find their own place in the society. 21 young talents were coached so far by a dozen of Horizon’s volunteers, and they are getting good results since almost half of them have either found qualified training or a permanent job.
Helping young girls find their path in the digital world is also one of our goals. Becomtech supports high school girls to integrate the IT sector and it aims to influence society and to create diversity and equality. At Horizon, we will be organizing a small event where some high school girls will be invited to spend a whole day with our teams to introduce them more to this industry and to help them become key players in the digital transformation.
Moreover, Horizon is very much concerned with the environment and the climate. Our partnerships with Greenly, Planet Tech care, TCFD and Finance for Tomorrow prove that we are aware of the impact that digital technology has on our planet and that we acknowledge our social and environmental role in building sustainable and resilient solutions.
