22 June, Paris: Horizon Software (Horizon), the leading provider of electronic trading solutions and algorithmic technology for the global capital markets, is proud to announce that it has successfully completed its System and Organization Controls (SOC) for Services Organizations (SOC 2®) Type 2 examination as of 15 June 2021 for their Managed Services, with trusted third-party security and compliance firm, A-LIGN ASSURANCE (A-LIGN).
Horizon had already completed Type 1 examination which evaluated the design of the company’s security processes, back in December 2020, and had set a goal to complete Type 2 by June 2021, in a 6-month period, which ensures that Horizon has put in place all the required policies and procedures. Horizon ran controls in various areas of the company which included bolstering its security, performing IT penetration tests, and improving its processes and documentation controls. And after A-LIGN reviewed the design and operating effectiveness of Horizon’s controls around infrastructure, software, people, data, processes and procedures, the company successfully received its first SOC 2 Type 2 report without any noted exceptions.
The success of this examination demonstrates that Horizon Software has a high level of quality of service as it follows international standards on risk and security. Its controls are designed to provide reasonable assurance to customers and to prove its compliance with the highest standards of security.
